Hi, I'm Alice, designer and founder of Longue Vue Design. If you are tired of looking for jewelleries that truly reflects your own style? Or just wanna have some fun, or even get inspired to open your own Etsy shop, then you have found the perfect creative workshop! This is a beginner class and I will make the art of hand-made jewellery making accessible to everyone.
What to expect from the class
Professional guidance from designer Alice with fun-to-make and easy to grab techniques.The workshop is focussed on how to create a consistent marbling effect as well as dots, lines and how to combine colours without using adhesive. With the initiative LV Design for Good, the designer Alice C. donates 100% of the jewellery revenue sales. 10% of Workshop revenue in certain month is donated to Community Services helping abused girls in Singapore. Alice also provides charity workshops and free professional training in the art of jewellery making to people suffering from Cerebral Palsy in Singapore.
1. Fundamentals about polymer clay jewellery making
types of clays, safety, how to store, different brands, tools, where to get in Singapore and what to consider
fundamentals about polymer clay: conditioning clay, mixing colours etc.
solid skills to create different types of shapes/beads (round, flat beads, tubes, square, cone..)
importance about baking process to avoid crackings and burning clay
tips and tricks to finish your beads and avoid disaster (e.g.how to remove fingerprints? details on baking process etc. )
2. Creating unique textures
techniques of pressing, rolling, twisting to create marbling, polka dots and lines on beads and tubes
3. Things you can expect/you will make
2.5 hours of hands-on learning, fun and creativity
1 necklace made by you to take home.

Our cosy and luminous studio is located in the beautiful heritage Joo Chiat Road. Upon booking, you will receive an email with all details and parking options to the venue.
The class sizes is small (5-10 pax) and it is conducted in a very relaxing and conductive environment. Fun, therapeutic and inspirational at the same time: it's the perfect get-away with friends and your loved ones and a nice occasion to pick up a new skill. The class includes all the materials (from US, Japan and South Korea) needed to create your own necklaces and earrings to take home. Besides, you will be given a manual booklet with all fundamental information about polymer clay and content treated during the workshop you have booked for. Yummy snacks and light refreshments is also included in the sessions.
Please note that there are strictly no refunds or exchanges for other classes upon confirmation of slot. In case you can't make it to a class, you're welcome to send someone in your place. Workshop will be postponed/cancelled and fees refunded if we don't meet the min. number of participants.
