Hi, I'm Alice, designer and founder of Longue Vue Design. If you are tired of looking for jewelleries that truly reflects your own style? Or just wanna have some fun, or even get inspired to open your own Etsy shop, then you have found the perfect creative workshop! This is a beginner class and I will make it accessible to everyone.
What to expect from the class
Professional guidance from designer Alice with fun-to-make and easy to grab techniques. The workshop is focussed on how to create a consistent marbling effect as well as how to work with gold leaves - Foiling.
- a wide palette of clay, saturated and pastel colours to make you necklaces + 1 pair of stud earrings - a selection of gold leaves, rose gold leaves, silver leaves - a selection of cords imported from Japan to choose from - all tools to work with clay - 1 booklet of gold foil leaves to take home (25 gold sheets) - 1 manual booklet with workshop content - artisan cakes/snacks and coffee/tea/drinks

Workshop takes place in my home studio or MOX creative space located in Katong. Upon registration, you will receive more details about location. Class is limited to a very cosy size.

Workshop content in details
1. Fundamentals about polymer clay in hand-made jewellery making
types of clays, safety, how to store, different brands, tools; working with polymer in tropical climate like Singapore
where to buy ( in Singapore) and what to consider
basic colours and design theory + ideas for your jewellery design
solid skills likeconditioning clay, pressing, rolling etc to create different types of shapes/beads (round, flat beads, tubes, square, cone, cylinder...)
importance about baking process to avoid crackings and burning clay
tips and tricks to finish your beads and avoid disaster (how to remove fingerprints? how to make your shape clean and neat? etc.)
2. Creating unique textures with gold foiling leaves (gold, rose gold, silver) and marbling
what is foiling and how to work with it in a tropical climate: importance of weather and storage
techniques of foiling tocreate gold speckled and cracks on clay (see pictures)
techniques to create different marbling patterns and how to control and create beautiful consistency in hand-made jewellery making
3. What's included and what will you make?
half-day of hands-on making, fun, creativity and chatter
at least 1 necklace, 1 pair of stud earrings (with 925 silver back)
1 manual booklet with workshop content to take home for your future creative projects and activities
all materials imported from US/Taiwan/Korea (silver, gold-plated metal) and Japan (cords)

Please note that there are strictly no refunds or exchanges for other classes upon confirmation of slot. In case you can't make it to a class, you're welcome to send someone in your place. Workshop will be postponed/cancelled and fees refunded if we don't meet the min. number of participants.
