Longue Vue Design for Good - a social non-profit project

“With LV Design for Good, we give back to the community through charities - Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore, HCSA Community Service and NUH Kids Funds.

Thank you for dropping by to find more about LV Design for Good - a social and non-profit initiative I started with Longue Vue Design in July 2018 to give back to the community and help those in need.

My name is Alice, the designer, creator and founder of Longue Vue Design and I believe we all carry a responsibility to make the world a better place for everyone. I believe as well that all acts of generosity, big or small, will always make a difference. Together, we can help and support those who are vulnerable.

Thank you for your support from the bottom of my heart.

This is how LV Design for Good helps

1) 100% Donations of nett jewellery sales revenue, for every piece sold.

In regular period, LV Design will provide single pieces for sale to support charities. For every single piece sold, 100% of the Nett Sale Revenue will go directly to one of the non-profit Organisation we support in Singapore/South East Asia – please, see below for the full list.

Most of the pieces are one of a kind and made only once. Sold, 100% of jewellery revenue goes towards one of the charities we support. In the month of August, LV Design for Good could support Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore with the amount of $1215 SGD and HCSA Community Services with $1742 SGD to buy equipment for clients with CP or to help girls at risk go back to school and other psychological treatments.

It means that whenever you purchase a piece from one of the jewellery collections, 100% of the amount you pay for the piece will go for a good cause. You will be contributing to great causes while wearing a beautiful and unique handmade jewelry piece.

I take no cut on the sale revenue of the piece, even for production or salary costs or anything else.

It means that:

  • the materials I purchase from the US, Japan, Korea and Germany
  • the time I spend to design and produce each piece entirely by hand
  • the packaging and logistic to send the piece to you

Are all offered by me, for free, as support to the NGOs.

2) Donations of selected Creative Jewellery Design Workshops sales

At the  Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore Charity Dinner 2018, on Saturday, 25 August 2018 at Marina Bay Sands, Longue Vue Design contributes a Marbling&Foiling Workshop for 8 pax for the auction.

100% of the donations received in the auction for this workshop (min. amount is the value of the workshop) will go towards Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore and their work.

The Charity event is looking at the goal of $ 200,000. If you wish to support this event, please visit Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore for booking and more information.

Further, 10% of  workshop sales taking place in October 2018 will be donated to help SPRING program at HCSA Community Services to help girls at risk in Singapore.

Non-Profit Organisations I support

HCSA Community Service

With various programs, HCSA supports teenage girls undergoing duress and single parents to empower them to rise up from adversity to find renewed hope and purposeful future.  Small to big donations will help teenage girls at risk ready to go back to school, with in-house education/tuition or various psychological therapies. More about HCSA and other areas of support here.

Cpas - Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore

Established in 1957, CPAS is a notable organization that  provide persons with Cerebral Palsy and multiple disabilities with early intervention, special education, rehabilitation services, day activity centre programmes, vocational training and gainful employment in Singapore.

People with Cerebral Palsy (CP) suffers from muscle paralysis causing them severe paralysis in movement, coordination, speech while intellectually being un-affected. CP happens both pre-natal and post-national due to a brain trauma.

With our initiative LV Design for Good, we hope to improve the quality of life of people with cerebral Palsy. More about Cpas here.

NUH Kids Funds Singapore

In the effort to ensure that no child should forgo medical treatment because of financial difficulties, the NUHkids Fund was started in 1990, as an importance source of funding our financially disadvantaged children.
NUHKids Masterchef is an annual fundraiser event held in NUH since 2014. This fundraising event is organised and led by the paediatric department in National University Hospital.
The department treats many children from all walks of life regardless of their socioeconomic status. As healthcare continues to improve, the survival rate of the children with life-limiting and/or chronic illnesses have also increased. Correspondingly, the financial burden has taken its toll on some of the families. However, since the starting up of the NUHKids Fund, it has enabled many of the young patients to receive financial assistance for their medical treatment and alleviated the stress faced by their parents and families.
LV Design sponsors selected hand-made jewellery pieces to be sold at Masterchef.  This year's event will take place on 9th December.
